Household Waste and Recycling Guidelines

Household Waste Collection Guidelines Household waste must be in the WCA ninety-five (95) gallon cart. Residents are encouraged to confine their household waste, grass clippings, leaves, And other similar yard waste to the cart. However, waste service is not exclusively limited to the cart; any household waste will be serviced in additional containers less than forty (40) gallons or forty (40) pounds. Carts must be at the curb by 7:00 A.M.

Tree & Yard Waste Collection Guidelines Tree and yard waste must be in containers or in bags not exceeding forty (40) gallons or forty (40) pounds at each residents curb. Tree, shrubs, & brush trimmings must be cut in lengths not to exceed four (4) feet & no greater than three (3) inches in diameter, securely tied in bundles. Yard waste must be at the curb by 7:00 A.M.

Bulk/Heavy Trash Collection Guidelines Bulk items such as appliances, furniture, carpet (up to one 1 room), rolled up by four (4) feet wide and be less than fifty (50) pounds. Cardboard boxes must be flattened. Household appliances, refrigerators must have Freon drained and be tagged accordingly by a certified technician. Water heaters must be drained and grill must be emptied of ash or briquettes. Bulk waste must at the curb by 7:00 A.M.

Service Collection Schedule Service Days (Household Waste) - Tuesday & Friday Service Days (Tree & Yard Waste) - Tuesday & Friday Service Day (Bulk/ Heavy Trash) - Friday Service Day (Recycling) - Tuesday Service Hours - No earlier than 7:00 A.M. & no later than 6:00 P.M. Holiday Schedule - WCA observes the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, & Christmas.

If your service day falls on one of the observed holidays, you will be serviced on the next schedule service day.

Unaccepted Item for Bulk Dirt, rocks, bricks, concrete, tires, and batteries, motor oil, cooking oil, waste generated by a private contractor or any materials or items deemed hazardous.

Recycle Collection Guidelines Recyclable items will be placed in sixty-five (65) gallon carts. The recycling cart cannot be used for household waste. Carts must be at the curb by 7:00 A.M.
